What does the inside of a carbon fiber tent pole look like?

The inside of a carbon fiber tent pole typically has a hollow tube structure, meaning it is empty on the inside. Carbon fiber tent poles are made by wrapping carbon fiber fabric around a mandrel and curing it with epoxy resin and high heat. Once the carbon fiber has cured, the mandrel is removed from the inside of the tube, leaving a hollow tube structure.
